Will Ear Drum Burst Cause Vertigo And Travelling Problems?

My son Burst his ear drum last week he is on treatment but he can not wait until Monday for a f-up for some answers! We have plans to fly Tuesday to Disney he wants to know if he can fly and if the rides will interfere with his fun... Will it cause vertigo? Puking?

Hi...by what you quote - as burst ear drum - I assume that your son should be having a perforated ear drum.

When there is a perforated eardrum, the air pressure in the middle ear can balance out more easily with the pressure of the surrounding air, as the air is able to pass through the hole. This means flying with a perforated eardrum may actually cause less discomfort than usual.

He can fly - no problem.
