Will I Get The Blood Pressure Problem If I Get Pregnant Again?

Hi sir, my first daughter is now in her 2 . We planed to have another baby. My first baby was delivered in 31 weeks cos my bp was 160/120 and my sgpt - 506 sgot-543 on the date of the operation. After the delivery I was ok. But the increment of blood pressure remained upto an year in 130/80. Would I get the problem again if I get pregnant again?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Blood pressure has to be maintained in the normal range through out the pregnancy, otherwise unwanted complications like spontaneous pregnancy loss may happen.

Antihypertensives like nifedipine may be required. Consult a gynaecologist and he will direct you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
