Will Inlay Sole Helpful In Correcting In Toeing Problem?

Good afternoon Doc. My name is Andrea. I have a daughter age 7+. She has intoeing problem. We visited an ortho and he has recommended a specially made inlay sole to be put in her shoes. Its supposedly suppose to help her feet get corrected. Its not cheap either. Will this really work? Thank you. Andrea Gomez

Hello,

As most foot correction cases need to be helped with the insoles as they help to avoid the abnormal transfer of the weight to the joints and leading to the abnormal anatomical position of the bones. If the orthopedist has advised for the same I will recommend undergoing the same. Also along with this doing hot water fermentation and feet muscle strengthening exercises is advised to activate the muscle groups which aren't activated and leading to abnormal weight transfer to different angles.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
