Will Intake Of Norethisterone To Delay Periods Affect The Start Date Of Next Periods?

I have been given norethisterone to delay my period while on holiday. I have a period due before I go away, if I delay this one will it affect the start date of the one due next month while I m on holiday? I d rather take it this month in case of any side effects

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
To postpone the periods you should start the pills atleast 4 to 5 days before the expected date of periods.
And have to continue till the date you want to postpone.
After stopping the pills, you may get withdrawal bleeding in 4 to 5 days.
Possibly you may get next menstrual cycle one month after having withdrawal bleeding.
But this period may differ depending on the hormonal levels.
So if you want to go for a holiday in the next month, better to tablets in next month itself.
