Will Missing A Meprate Dose Cause My Period To Start, Or Should I Continue Taking It?
Hi, i was on meprate to extend my period date, however i still started getting small blood spot on my period date, and doc suggested to continue taking the tablet.. my concern is i have missed my 9th day dose, and have taken the missed tablet after 12hrs.. will i get my periods? shall i continue taking the tablets or shall i stop?
One missed dose (even with a 12-hr delay) might not cause a full withdrawal bleeding. It can cause spotting, especially if your body was already close to triggering menstruation. If delaying your period is no longer essential, you can stop the medication. You will get a withdrawal bleed (similar to a period) within 3–7 days.
If you're delaying for a few more days, continue taking Meprate at the same time daily, do not skip more doses. Small spotting is often a side effect. If you no longer need to delay. You can stop Meprate, and your period should come within 2–7 days after stopping.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
