Will Numbness In Shin Go Away By Applying Neosporin?

I scraped my shin to the bone (about a 1 1/2 inch scrape) and the area around my shin is numb. I disinfected it and applied some neosporin to it but I was wondering if there is anything else I should do? I was also wondering if I should go see a doctor or can I just let this heal on its own?

Hello,

What I can infer from your complaints is that you are having a graze in your shin. This will heal by a scan formation in about a week. You just need to keep it clean and dry Neosporin is ok to apply.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Santosh S Jeevannavar, Orthopaedic Surgeon
