My husband hurt his back, he has a cdl and gets random drug tests, I want to help him as we have no insurance, I have skelaxin for my back issues, would this come up in a drug test? I don't think it is a narcotic.
and I know we aren't supposed to take other peoples medications, Im just trying to help him and I know it is for back pain.

Hi,

Skelaxin is not an analgesic but a muscle relaxant. You are right that it is not a narcotic. I do not expect it to show up in drug tests. But I do feel that your husband should get his back checked. He may need other medicines as well and so he should see a doctor. Till then he should rest his back as much as possible.

Best wishes.
