Hi,I am Diwashish Biswas (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has epilepsy and Parkinson's disease. Subsequent to blood clotting, he is taking Warfarin and has to have his PI level checked on a regular basis (generally weekly). His neurosurgeon has prescribed him SlowMag tablets - will this affect his PI count, or can he safely take the SlowMag tablets? Thank you for your assistance.
Hello dear, welcome to healthcaremagic forum. Slowmag contains magnesium chloride. It usually will not lower the platelet count, and no significant interaction with warfarin. You can take them safely. I hope you will find this information useful.Thank you.
