Hi,
Sometimes there is sudden drop of BP after adding a BP lowering medication. Usually it normalizes during a week, if you continue to have low BP and tired during the week you should visit your doctor.
About Atorvastatin, it is cholesterol lowering medication and it is usually lowers cholesterol well. You should take the medication and check cholesterol in a month, if the cholesterol levels still are high, there will be need to increase the dose.

Wishing you good health

Dietitian & Nutritionist Kathy Shattler's  Response
Hello Sir: I would suggest you contact your doctors office. With a blood pressure of 94/56 I am concerned for your safety with balance and fall issues. Start drinking (measure it out) 8 glasses of 8 ounces of pure water per day. Fluctuating blood pressure, regardless of range category, may cause ill feelings and unsteadiness. Do you have someone to stay with you in case of a fall and to to take you to the doctors? Be cautious and slow when getting up from a seated or lying position. One of your medications may need to be "modified" or it is possible that you are not getting enough fluids. Thank you for coming to HCM. Best wishes to you. Kathryn Shattler,MS,RDN
