I have had severe weight gain in last two hrs and believe must be from Azurette. I exercise 5-6 days a week and have always eaten healthy and gaining weight like crazy. Once I stop taking pill will I lose weight right away or what can I do to speed up weight loss? Thank you!

HI Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic.
Yes Azurette do cause weight gain . It causes retention of water in the body causing weight gain. It also increases the cholesterol level which may contribute to weight gain .
So to counter act this side effect you need to increase your exercise daily instead of 5-6 days a week and also to need to do more vigorous exercise than what you are doing now . Also , every 10 days or 2 weeks you need to increase either the duration or intensity of exercise .
Also consult a nutritionist for a well balanced low carbohydrate diet and follow the diet instruction strictly.
Stopping the pill is a good option but your doctor has started this pill for some reason and you can't stop it straight away. One option is to revisit your doctor and ask for a better alternative.
Hope this information was useful to you. Any clarifications feel free to ask .
