Will Taking Thyrox 25 Help Cure Hypothyroidism?

hello doctor, I once was a thyroid patient, to be precise hypothyroidism, i took Eltroxin for 2 years then switched to thyrox 25 & continued for another 2 years, then with the help of Batra s homeopathy medication it got completely cured but am increasing in weight, so can i start thyrox-25 again to reduce my weight?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM. I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Starting on thyroid hormone replacement depends on your thyroid function tests. We don't start patients on thyroxine based on their symptoms, but based on their TSH and T4 values.

Please check your thyroid function tests and if possible anti thyroid antibodies and let us know the reports.
