Will Taking Edema And HTN Cause Downfall Due To Thyroid?

Hi, I am a woman, age 52 and I am on Armour Thyroid 3 grains now but I feel quite low thyroid now. Every 6 months it seems my Thyroig is worse and when I have it checked, it is lower. My question is if Maxzide ( lowest dose) that I have been taking for some edema and HTN is causing always a downfall of my thyroid? And also, when my throid just finally crashes what happens then, do I just stay on the highest dose or what do the doctors do then?

dear user, it is less likely for the two drugs to interact but still if you are taking the two drugs together then definitely absorption of thyroxine is affected. progressive increase in dose suggests that either you are putting on weight or your thyroid dose has not yet been stabilized.
