I am 24 yrs old. I just had a severe case of seborrhoea dermatitis. It happened to me for the first time and I was shocked and distressed. Since childhood I never had any problems with my scalp or skin, no allergies and no dandruff. I had a full head of very long hair, but because of the dermatitis I had to shave it of. My scalp has cleaned up completely now but, Will the dermatitis relapse again, just curious? I have taken medication and used all the medicated shampoos and lotions as per my Derma s advice for three weeks. I have no family history of any skin disease. I take care of my diet and try to stay in shape. I stay in Bangalore, did the weather trigger it the last time, since it s winter and very dry.
There is no permanent cure for seborrhoic dermatitis. It can recur. I would recommend you to continue using the anti dandruff shampoo.
