Pediatrician 's  Response
having a high bilirubin is normal in a new born and bilirubin of 10.5 in a 3 day old 2.7 kg child seems normal but u will have to repeat a bilirubin level tomorrow and check for the trend,if its rising and i am also concerned about the direct bilirubin, its a bit on the higher side but nothing risky, get a repeat bilirubin done tomorrow.
