Will The Hypothyroidism Continue After Delivery?

Hi, I have a TSH level of 7.5 and I have just completed my first trimester of pregnancy. I want to know if this condition will persist even after delivery or it will go away. I'm taking thyronorm 50mcg now. I don't have any history or prior occurrence of hypothyroidism.

Dear ma'm, hi! as you have specified you were diagnosed with hypothyroidism during pregnancy, so ideally and theoretically once the baby is delivered you should have normal thyroid functions. but unfortunately, in practice it does not happen. you may remain hypothyroid for a long time and may be even life. regards!
