Will The Intake Of Eliquis Cause Constipation?
I have been taking eliquis for about 3 - 4 weeks and since that time i have noticed constipation being a problem even though i am conscious of the need for fiber and try to get plenty in the way of fruits, and vegetables as well as nuts, prunes and dates. Is there a connection? I am seeing my PCP on Tuesday of next week, but it has just dawned on me there may be a connection. What do you say?

Hello,
Constipation is a very rare side effect of abixaban.
It's main side effect is bleeding.
Usually it does not cause constipation. But on higher doses consecutively for more than a months can cause Constipation.
Continue the fibre and fruits regularly.
If the constipation persists, take liquid paraffin.
