Will The Pain In Shin Be Due To Bone Spur?

I have been taking Zumba classes. I have had a pain in my right shin about the size of the end of my finger. It is difficult to do movements on my leg because of this pain. This point on my shin was hit about 20 years ago twice with a softball. The injury caused quite an "egg" on the shin... this is about the same place that it hurts. Could this be a bone spur as I have been told? If so, should I continue with Zumba and what treatment should I consider? Thank you.
