Would Calpol Suffice In Treating A Toddler's Fever?
HI Doc....My daughter is 1.5 yr old and her wt is 10.6 Kg...She is having high fever i.e. 100-101 since last night. We are giving her Calpol every 4 hrs. But her temp is again coming after every 4-5 hrs. Also she dont have any cough and cold. So it may be viral,not sure.Pls help.Thanks

Hai....you are right...it could ve viral. Only suggestion is that calpol comes in 3 strengths. If you don't mind I suggest you give calpol 120mg/5ml syrup 6 ml every 4-6th hourly ONLY if fever is more than 100 F. If she's active...that too is not required. Happy to help anytime.
