Would You Suggest Hernia Repair For A 78 Year Old Suffering With COPD?

I had a lapascopic colon op and it resulted in an abdominal hernia which over time has enlargedd -- keep it wrapped in hernia belt -- I also suffer from copd so the area is ofter stressed. I am 78 years old but active. What if any hernia repair would you recommend. I am covered by VA hospital, San Francisco but living in China. Do not feel Chinese doctors familiar enough with hernia as a problem; could be wrong.

After Going through your queries i suggest you that ih you have not so much problem from hernia then there is no need to repair it because as you told you have COPD which will be give problem during post op of Hernia.
So i suggest you to leave it if you not have so much problem from Hernia.
