Wrists hurt after pregnancy I have this problem after giving birth. does it go away? or need surgery ? ....i didn t get it during pregnancy, but when my boy 2 weeks old, i started to have this weird feeling on my hand , my wrist hurt when i lift things up (hurt most when i woke up in the morning) even when i don t do anything, it hurt when i press on the wrist bone, my fingers go numb also .... this is hard for me to get up in the middle of the night to feed my baby b/cuz i cánt even lift him up. Pls suggest your opinion.
This symptoms are common after pregnancy.Since your bone and joint is soft during this period hence may be trivial injury might have happened after lifting your child which produced such symptoms as you mentioned. Dont worry you need to have analgesics for few days , along with calcium supplement.Use wrist splint.Neuralgic pain is secondary to median sensory nerve compression in tunnel formed by wrist bone.Better to avoid neuralgic drugs because of producing drowsinees to your child.Consult nearby doctor for the above medicines.No need of surgery as per your symptoms,consult your neurologist/physician for clinical examination
