Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this prostatitis that hasn't gotten any better with treatment.

The treatment for prostatiti is often long(about 6weeks) and difficult. The duration of your treatment seems not too alright to me. The first thing is to make sure that this prostatitis is caused by and infection and whether the prescribed drugs were able to kill the causative germ. This can be easily addressed by doing a urine culture and testing for antibiotic sensitivity. In this case, the exact and appropriate drug would be given.

If no germ is identified, then more of symptoms management and coping strategies shall be used. But first, we need to rule out every other possible cause before settling with this.

My advice, go back and talk with your doctor. Work with him on identifying the exact cause and proposing treatment options related to the exact findings.

I hope this helps you and provides guidance on how to get this problem adequately addressed. I wish you a speedy resolution as you fight on.

I wish you well.
