How To Treat Fever In A 9 Years Old Child?
My 9 year old daughter has a temperature and glassy eyes for the last two days, she says she has a pain in her head and appetite isn't as good as normal, paracetamol is taking the temperature down but when it wears off it rises again, there are a lot of virus' going around at the moment so wondering could she possibly have one, she has a slight cough too, I think she could have a slight chest infection?!

Hi,
It seems that she might be having viral infection giving this problem.
Continue with paracetamol as and when needed.
Give her some cough syrup for cough.
If problem continued then she might require one course of antibiotic medicine like Amoxicilin or Azithromicin for 3-5 days.
Avoid giving cold drinks and junk food.
Ok and take care.
