Side Effects Caused By Chewing Gutka

I USE TWO gutka packets as day. I do not eat as I have no teeths. I just put them in my mouth, roll it for two miniutes. After this I wash my mouth clean my tongue with tongu cleaner. One packet I use in 3 installments.Please adviswe trhe side effects. have using this for the last two months and I am 75 years old.

Hi! Welcome to HCM.

Tobacco irritates oral mucosa when kept in the cheek for long hours. As you are not chewing it, the irritation will be reduced to some extent.

I suggest you to quit tobacco considering your age.
Tobacco may cause fibrosis,reduce the mouth opening,ulcers,burning sensation.
It is also proved to increase incidence of precancerous and oral cancers.
