What Causes Low Platelet Count While Liver Functions Are Elevated?

i just got mycbc back and i have a platelet count of 105 is that a bad thing? last year my liver function was slightly elevated so i changed my diet did more exercise and lost 20-25 pounds (i am about 200, 5 9 athletic) so why would my platelets be low?

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Platelet count of 105 is good and not to be worried about.
2. Abnormal liver function tests usually do not affect platelet count. However, the same cause like alcohol suppression or nutritional deficiencies can affect bone marrow and affect platelet count.
3. If the platelet count falls below 100, get a complete hemogram to look for pancytopenia. If abnormal, required bone marrow biopsy for evaluation. Not to worry now. Try to improve liver function tests through diet, exercise, and weight reduction. Avoid alcohol and smoking.
