What Is The Reason For Pain In Fourth Metatarsal Bone Of Foot?

hi I have been having pain on the top of my foot and its by my fourth metatarsal bone it hurts when I walk on it and eases up with rest it just throbs and is uncomfortable I went and had an x ray and it didn t show anything do u think It could be a stress fracture

If there is nothing seen on x ray then I would suggest you to get MRI of the foot.It will show if there is any stress fracture is present. Some time there can be infection also. Till that time you can take Brufen for pain relief.
