Weight loss could be due to uncontrolled diabetes. You have not mentioned how good is your blood sugar control but I presume you are not taking enough fibre and fluids which have contributed to constipation. A low fibre diet not only causes constipation but does not help in controlling blood sugar too. When your blood sugar is not well in control and if you are not on insulin, you will lose weight inspite of eating adequately. Have you been diagnosed with diabetes recently?

Once you stop smoking, eat healthy, low fat, low salt, high fibre diet with plenty of fluids, you will regain lost weight and this will help in managing your diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol and constipation problem also.
