                                                                Alcohol causes increase in the blood glucose levels, and heavy alcohol drinking may cause fall in blood glucose levels to dangerous levels. it also increases the blood lipids and cholosterol. what it all means is it accelerates the process of weakening of the kidney and retina by increasing the blood glucose levels. it also interfers with the insulin action.
