Are There Any Round Pink Tablets Used As Muscle Relaxants?

default
Posted on Fri, 19 Jun 2015
Question: Someone in my extended family obtained some round and pink tablets that he says are muscle relaxants, which he was taking for a strained back. I'm worried that he's taking something he got from a friend and is not relevant to his back problems. Are there any such pills in the marketplace that fit this description and are being used for this purpose? And if so, are they safe?
Thank you. XXXXXXX XXX ( YYYY@YYYY )

Brief Answer:
Could be Metaxalone

Detailed Answer:
Hi

The round and pink tablets could be tablet Metaxalone. It is a muscle relaxant used to relax muscles and relieve pain caused by strained back, sprains, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Metaxalone has major side effects are drowsiness, dizziness, feeling nervous, headache, mild nausea, vomiting, upset stomach and skin rash.

It is not safe to take the drug without seeing the packet name in which it is stored. Moreover metaxalone is a possibility not the exact drug. I would recommend against using it.
