How Can I Stop Severe Itching On The Thigh?

Question : Hi, my name is XXXX.
I am consistently dealing with itching around my thigh especially at night that wakes me up.
I am a very meticulous clean person.
I initially had a breakout on my face and neck, when I went to visit my mother(whose health has declined) in cleaning her house. A Pharmacist told me to take 3 full dosages of Benadryl for several days, but I cannot, Sleepy!!! May you give me an opinion, better yet an antidote.

I am so sorry to hear about these itches and all the inconveniences. Do you have an idea about the possible cause? Is there any rash around this area? If yes, please, send an image to me for review. Benadryl seemed to help but for the sleepiness. This way, I can suggest another drug which works just like it but without the side effect of sleepiness. I will suggest that you try loratadine.
