Brief Answer:
It is normal for a child of this age.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Let me assure you that for a child of this age it is absoultely normal to pass stool once in several days as it is to pass stool 10 times a day or after each feed. Unless the stool is hard and pellet like, nothing needs to be done and all you need to do is to continue breast feeding. Colicaid has no role to play in this.

Since there is nothing abnormal with the child and since passing stool once in several days is normal for a baby of this age, the baby is unlikely to have any discomfort, uneasiness or any harm.

Let me know if I can help further.

Regards

Brief Answer:
You would need to be observant to detect the underlying cause

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. Sorry for not being able to respond faster.

The child cries for a number of reasons varying between hunger, abdominal distention, craving for mother's touch, urge to pass urine or stool, after feeling the wetness of passing urine or stool, feeling of discomfort due to increased or decreased temperature, feeling unattended, irritation and so on. Colicaid helps in relieving abdominal distension whereas Domstal helps in preventing reflux. But you will have to be observant in order to make out the reason of the baby's crying. Removal of the trigger will make the baby stop crying.

Regards
