Question : My nine year old daughter has a mole skin tag looking thing on her shoulder that is filled with blood. When opened it is long to get the bleeding to stop. It is becoming larger and seems to include some puss as well. What could it be?

Granuloma pyogenicum : get it removed. Don't touch
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome again to the forum and thanks for posting the pictures of the affected area.
After analyzing the picture with best diligence, I can make out that your daughter has the condition known as granuloma pyogenicum.
Let me reassure you first that this is not mole or related thing and is a very much benign structure.
It is formed due to the minor trauma which induces proliferation of blood vessels at this site. The typical feature is its colour with soft appearance and tendency to bleed, manipulated or even by self also.
In my patients, I generally remove this by radio frequency ablation. It is a simple procedure of few minutes and can be done by any dermatologist.
Do not try to fiddle or pinch or puncture the area as it can bleed continuously.
Overall there is nothing to be worried about and can get this thing removed.
I hope these informations will relax you. I will be glad to answer any further queries.
