Brief Answer:
Elevate limb, hot compression, thrombophob Gel

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for your query.

I shall make an effort to provide you with good professional recommendations specific to your questions.
Based on the information provided, it appears like it is a thrombophlebitis, which refers to inflammation of the vein with small thrombus, it is relatively common post iv cannulation.

I would treated this by advising you to elevate the site, by using pillow while sleeping, out placing your leg on stool while sitting. Warm compression of site, it will help reducing the symptom.
I would have treated you with Thrombophob Gel, apply this gel 3 times per day.

With this measures the symptoms will reduces in three to four days. If there pain in more you can consider taking over the counter pain killers. I would have prescribed you with tablet diclo 50 mg twice daily for day or two, depending on the pain.

Yet , again I duly appreciate your query to me, I do hope that have found something useful to help you and I shall be glad to answer any further apprehensions.

Sincerely,
