Suggest Treatment For Acid Reflux, Vomiting And Dizziness

Question: Hi I got acid reflux problem
I have to throw out every day when I am brushing the doctor said is acid reflux light yellow substance if not I fell dizzy and sick after I eat
He prescrideb omoparazole

I am worried about the side effects mainly it say impotence pls explain

Statistics show that out of 89,769 people reported to have side effects when taking Omeprazole. Among them, 217 people (0.24%) have Impotence.

This is a rare occurrence and you should not stop taking the medication if there is no side effect.

Rare side effects of omeprazole also include

blisters
bloody or cloudy urine
chills

I don't understand rare cause means also I am bit scared to take it I don't want to be impotent

I haven't taken the medicine yet as soon as I seen the side effect I am scared to take it

U sure it I'll not reduce the sex drive

Throwing up the acid out in the morning is best idea or not

Thanks for writing back with an update.

Rare cause is very less chances, almost nil for impotency.
I have taken omprazole and pantoprazole on different occasions and do not feel it has caused any side effect.

Throwing acid is not the best idea and can cause aspiration leading to pneumonia.

I suggest that you take the medicine just when you wake up from sleep and then brush teeth 30 minutes after taking the medication.

For meals please avoid fasting for more than 4 hours. Have small snacks through out the day.

Following foods should be reduced.
1. citrus fruits, such as oranges, grapefruit, lemons, limes, and pineapple
2. tomatoes and tomato-based foods
3. garlic and onions
4. coffee and tea
5. alcohol
6. carbonated beverages
7. foods deep fried in oil

Foods to eat include non-citrus fruits like apple, banana and watermelon. You must take curds or yoghurt everyday.
