Taking it for last 4 months. My target symptoms have lmost avanished. But I have been having (considerable but not unbearable) synptoms like mouth dryness, trembling of hands and weakness of limbs. 1.Whether I should ignore these symptoms and continue? 2.How long should I continue it at least? How do I know that now I can withdraw it?

Brief Answer:
all your symptoms due to medicine and it is self remitting once you stop

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,

Thank you for your query.

All your symptoms like dryness of mouth, trembling of hands and feeling of weakness may be due to clofranil tablet. It will gradually goes away as you tolerate it well or once you stop it. Drug tolerance does occur gradually over a period of few weeks to months. So do not worry regarding such side effects if it is not bothering you.

Duration of treatment depends upon duration of illness, severity of illness, episode of illness, family history of illness, any concurrent medical illness. Without these factors, I am unable to comment on the duration of treatment. Perhaps your treating doctor who has all the details will be able to suggest it. If you are worried about treatment duration then please discuss with him / her. But generally, if you have illness first time then ideally you need to continue treatment for a minimum period of 6 to 8 months and gradually taper down it with in 1 year. You don't withdraw medicine by your self. You must follow your treating doctors advice.

Hope I have answered all your question.

Thank you
