Question : I am on Atorvastatin 20mg for hypertension. I was put on Prednisone for three weeks. I stopped it a week ago. When I checked my blood pressure it was 177 over 117 this morning. I have no symptoms and my blood pressure is typically 124 over 83 while I take the Atorvastatin.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

Your current BP is to high and it's a side effect of prednisolone. Atorvastatine is effective on controlling your lipidemia (fat in your blood), but it has no effects on stabilising your BP.

This is why I strongly recommend that you should go to ER for propper management of hypertension.

Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!
