Suggest Treatment For Inflamed Lesion On Nose

default
Posted on Wed, 13 Jan 2016
Question: I have a small lesion on my nose which I have had for several months. It has bled in the past and then closed up and sometimes peeled. I do have an appointment with a dermatologist. I know that I should have gone earlier to get it checked. I have my fingers crossed that it is benign. Is it possible to have a lesion with the above history and still have a chance of it being benign?

Brief Answer:
Considerations

Detailed Answer:
hello and thanks for sending the question.

It is possible that this might reflect simply inflammation of your skin with some thinking of the skin.

At the same time it is very important that you have the dermatologist take a close look. If it is a type of skin cancer it can often times be removed successfully with a minimally invasive type of surgery.

I'm glad you have an appointment with the dermatologist. Please let us knowyou have any additional concerns in the future.

Sincerely,

Dr. Galamaga
