Question : I have had a yeast infection for almost 2 weeks, I was better, now it's bad again. I am having pains in my lower abdomen, should I see a doctor?
Brief Answer:
yes, vaginal candidiasis...see the doctor soon.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to healthcare magic.com
If you have been experiencing a yeast infection with a curdy white cottage cheese vaginal discharge along with constant itching then it is candida infection and needs to be treated sooner with antifungals , either pessaries or oral antifungals.
Sex has to be avoided as this is inter-transferable.
Also advised that the partner should also be treated at the XXXXXXX time.
So you may visit your physician for a per speculum exam for confirmation of diagnosis and prescription of an anti fungal course for a week.
Regards
