Question: Hi,
One of my relative is undergoing treatment of PPA(Primary Progressive Aphasia), but there are no signs of improvement in his verbal communication. Can you please provide more details about this disease and suggest the effective treatment in XXXXXXX
doctor
Answered by Dr. V. N. S. Parinam (2 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Cognitive impairment along with language dysfunction

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

It is very difficult to guide you without good details of the patient. But I understand that the person has neurocognitive disorder and it requires specialist intervention. And I definitely recommend a team specialist approach than a single specialist. It requires a cognitive specialist, speech therapist, social worker and other staff to bring some change in this person.

I suggest you to meet Prof. Dr. S. R. XXXXXXX in NIMHANS. He is specialist in cognitive disorders and will be available on Tuesday and Friday in Neurology OPD in Nimhans. These are the days for new patients.

Hope this information is useful.
