Brief Answer:
Bacterial infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

This appears to be a bacterial infection as there are pustules, and the surrounding skin appears infected (small area of cellulitis). You may need an oral antibiotic for this.

In addition, I would apply a hot compress, such as a hot wet wash cloth, for several minutes, several times a day to help your body address this infection. Hot baths are good ideas too. Heat increases circulation to the area, which allows your white blood cells to address the bacterial infection. It also raises the temperature of the skin, making it less hospitable for bacteria which require a certain range of temperature to multiply. The more often you can get heat on it, the better.

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can provide further information.
