Brief Answer:
Suggestive of Chickenpox

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX Hi
Welcome back.
I can understand your problem.
After having gone through the history given in your query and the 3 uploaded pictures you seem to have Chickenpox.

It is a viral disease which spreads from infected person by coughing sneezing or touching on lesions. It can affect all parts of the body from head to toe including oral cavity (inside the mouth) & genitals.

Usually it is a self limiting disease which will subside by itself.
However, since adults have a high risk of complications like pneumonia & encephalitis therefore you may need oral antiviral drugs like Acyclovir or Valacyclovir for about a week.

For fever Paracetamol tablets to be taken every 6-8 hours along with plenty of oral fluids. Calamine lotion to applied on the affected area which relieves the itching sensation.

Sore throat could be due to secondary bacterial infection which responds well to antibiotics like Amoxicillin (if you are not allergic to Penicillins).

Chicken pox is highly contageous 1-2 days before the appearance of rash and 4-5 days thereafter. After which virus tends to die out and looses the capacity to transmit disease to normal individuals.

So, you are advised to take bed rest.

Hope the suggestions given above could be useful to you.

Thank you very much Doctor and sorry for the late reply.

As per your advise I immediately consulted a GP and he confirmed its Mild CP.
From 29th Oct Afternoon I have been put under below medication:
---CLARIBID 250 - 1-1 x 4days
---ACYCLOVIR 800 - 4 TIMES X 6 days
---Xyzal 5mg once very evening.
---Pantoacid & B complex capsule

Fever of 100- 101 was there twice for two days and today no fever.
Blisters mainly at Back/ Torso/ One in Arm, a few in face etc...I m feeling better, though there is a loss of appetite today.

1) How long can I take Xyzal.. ? Can it be taken an an SOS when I feely itchy?

2) Should I go for a follow-up visit today ,ie after 2 days of treatment or is the above medication sufficient?
(Since its most contagious after 2-4 days i was wondering if its would be advisable to continue Isolation & bed rest rather than going out.)

Brief Answer:
Take the medications as prescribed by your treating doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX Hi
Welcome back.
Thanks for your reply and the compliments.
Glad to know that you are feeling better. The appetite will improve in due course of time, there is nothing to worry about it.
Claribid (Clarithromycin) is a macrolide antibiotic used to treat secondary bacterial infection of the rash (blisters) of the chickenpox.
Acyclovir is an antiviral drug effective in the treatment of chickenpox & Pantocid (Pantoprazole) stomach acid suppressant effective for the gastritis that can occur with the above medications.
Continue the course as per the instructions from your treating doctor.
Regarding Xyzal (Levocetirizine), it is an antihistamine used to treat itching and swelling caused by the rash of chicken pox.
If you do not have any itching you may take it on SOS basis.
A bed rest is what you need at this stage of illness.

Hope this clarifies your concerns.

Kindly rate the answers if you do not have any follow up query.

Wishing you a smooth and complete recovery.
Take care.
