Brief Answer:
Characterized by swelling, pain and redness

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to health care magic.

Cellulitis is a bacterial infection of the skin caused by bacteria, most commonly streptococci and staphylococci.

This infection is common in parts prone for injury like lower legs and arms.

It is characterized by following symptoms:
1. Swelling
2. Redness
3. Pain in the affected area
4. Affected area is warm to touch and tender
5. Fever

If you have any of the above symptoms and your rash is spreading, then you need to get in touch with your GP and get it examined to rule out cellulitis and start treatment as soon as possible as cellulitis may cause serious complications if not treated early.

I hope I have cleared your doubts about cellulitis.

Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks.
