Question : I have a rash and don't know what it could be from.

I am so sorry to hear about this rash. The most important thing about rashes is to see them. This would help orient the diagnosis and treatment plan. I will also like to know for how long you have had this rash and whether there are any itches or not.

Thank you for your reply. I've attached a photo of the rash. It's been ongoing for about 6 weeks. No, none of rash is making me itch. Some of the places come up like sores, then scab up and other just look like flat red places.

I have reviewed this image fully. Alongside all teh available information, this may be suggestive of vasculitis. This is common in persons with chronic hepatitis C as you mentioned your son has. I will suggest that he talks to his hepatologist for more evaluation and treatment.
Treatment fro hepatitis C has improved drastically with fewer side effects and higher cure rates. This is the main approach towards controlling for this condition.
