Needs more details..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your complain a blood blister formed in the extraction socket seems to be most probably blood clot that is the initial healing process..
The clot gradually transforms into healing tissue and the socket is filled up..

I would like to know a few more details so that I can guide you better..
1. As you are on blood thinners, were you advised to stop taking the blood thinners before extraction?
2. Is the bleeding just a few drops or more?
3. Is the extraction socket is completely filled with a blood clot?
4. Are you taking any medications post extraction?

Please revert back with answers..

Regards..

Blood thinner was not stopped because of my levels being ok 2.7 and the previous week 2 teeth were pulled no issues --- the bleeding i would say more than drops, my lips would become coated and i had to wash them every 30 minutes or so. Yes the entire socket has the blister/clot. No post meds except my regular items. Im only concerned because of previous extraction the week before was two teeth and this did not happen ...

Brief Answer:
Consult your dentist..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome back..

As per your answers if the lips are getting coated with blood every half an hour then it is appearing considerable amount of bleed and you should once get back to your dentist and get evaluated..
You might be given pressure pack to reduce bleeding while other methods of hemostasis can also be done..

As of now do cool compresses over the cheek..
You should also avoid spitting very vigorously..
You should also avoid sucking anything with a straw..
Take a soft diet..

Please write back for further queries..

Regards
