Brief Answer:
Please provide further medical data of yours!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

You are saying that your MRI without contrast of whole abdomen resulted normal. Now, your doctor is asking to run ct-scan with contrast.

At this point, I need to have more of your medical data to understand your current health situation before determining whether you need ct-scan with contrast or not:
- what other health problems you are having (symptoms?) apart feeling pain and bloating after exercise?
- can you provide your MRI report or other test reports you have done recently?
- any ECG or other cardiac test report?

Looking forward to have your data in!

I had my ecg , tmt, and echo done which was normal . mri report of the abdomen also says it is normal . my problem is that I feel a pull type feeling with a dull pain after exercising or walking specially when I am resting .earlier I used to run on treadmills and was very active but suddenly this problem started one day . my blood reports are also normal .I also got a usg of whole abdomen done which was also normal . only breath test for sibo was positive for which I am on antibiotics and the course of 2 weeks will get over in two days .

Apologies for the late reply.

Detailed Answer:

Well, if you have concerns about CT radiations, you can discuss with the treating doctor to change over to MRI contrast. CT contrast is weighed slightly above MRI with regards to diagnosing pancreas condition and kidney stones. However I am sure your doctor will not have any problems to switch to MRI contrast in this case.

Clinically I am unable to arrive at provisional diagnosis based on your symptom description. Therefore I am unable to comment on the causes of this problem until we have the scan reports.

Hope this answers your question.
