What Causes False Positive Urine Drug Test For OPI1300 And Oxycotton?

default
Posted on Wed, 4 Nov 2015
Question: My son had an urine drug test, and tested positive for OPI1300 , and Oxycotton, of which he claims he never had them. He also tested positive for Marihuana and Cocaine, which he said he had, but not recently (not in the last few days). Could OPI1300 and OXycotton be shown by mistake or as a side effect of cocaine?
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Not likely

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
False positive results are possible and some medications or certain (exotic) type of food may affect test. This is however really rare and if test is positive then it is 99% sure that person took these substances. Cocaine is not opioid or morphine based drugs so it wont lead to false positive test for OPI3000 or oxycotton.
So he may have taken oxytocin incidentally or wasn't aware of it. You can solve this doubt by doing an additional test in 5-7 days. Wish you good health. Regards
