Brief Answer:
It may be due to anxiety and panic .

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I had gone through your question.
I understand your concern.

Yes it may have chance that the symptoms and feeling that you have may be result of electric shock.

But it can possible only if it occurred immediately after shock and it do not last for such 1 year of period.

It is more likely anxiety features and when it exaggerated it looks like panic attack.
Due to electric shock there are chances to change neurotransmitter level in brain and neuron which might be lead to fear and anxiety.

Endep contain amitriptiline and it is not that much useful to treat it.

If some patient walk in my clinic with this history i would like to do detail psychological evaluation.

In this as my opinion you have to accept that it is not a due to shock but it is anxiety which can be arise from electric shock.

This kind of condition can be treated with medicines like peroxetine and etizolam. Peroxetine 12.5 mg and etizolam 0.5 mg is very useful to handle anxiety and panic.

Besides this

You have to do relaxation exercise like meditations, deep breathing or progressive muscle relaxation.

Regular exercise, Proper sleep and healthy diet will be useful.

Do pleasurable activities like music and hobbies.

Try to maintain stress free work.

I hope i have answered your query. Still if you have a query then feel free to ask.

Happy to help you.

Thank you.
