Question : I have been hospitalized 3 times for inflammation on my appendix, terminal ileum & cecum. My surgeon suggested me to do laparoscopic ileocecectomy noted that each CT scans showed inflammation in those areas even though there was no abscesses found & the appendix not visible. The problem is my gastrointerologist preferred laparoscopic appendectomy only because after several Antibiotics treatment on those 3 flare times, my colonoscopy biopsy result showed no abnormality on my terminal ileum area. I am thinking to take my GI option in order to save my ileocecal valve function. Need 3rd opinion please?

As discussed in details below.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history in details.
I can understand the difficulty in decision and complexity in the diagnosis and management.
Mere inflammation of the terminal ileum, appendix and cecum without a definite diagnosis may not be an indication for excision of the whole affected area.
Investigations during the quiescent period of the blood, stool, urine, Contrast enhanced CT scan, repeat/review colonoscopy, Diagnostic Laparoscopy should get you the perfect diagnosis to have a proper plan of management.
I hope this opinion helps you, please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.

Yes it is helpful doctor! Repeat/review colonoscopy and diagnostic Laparascopy that you mentioned might be the key. That is also my surgeon plans to do , laparascopy will help him to look appendix & surrounding whether anAppendectomy or ileocecectomy is necesary to be done.
