Question : Two days ago my wife developed joint pain, a low grade fever and a sore throat. Today she developed red spots on her legs and arms that appear to be spreading. We were in Thailand and Cambodia for two weeks and arrived back in the US two weeks ago. She is on tamoxiftn as a result of dcis three years ago.
Brief Answer:
This could be anything, concerning is recent travel overseas.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM: Please note that she could have been exposed to a number of things, most concerning is a bacterial infection that seems to be migratory (joints, skin, throat) if she was in the US I would guess a gonococcal infection of some kind, but parasites have been known to act this very way, therefore she needs to have blood work, urine sample and a medical exam. I hope this helps.
