What Causes Red Patch And Blisters On The Buttock Crack After Laminectomy?

Question: 6'5", 200 pound male recovering from a laminectomy 4 days ago. Yesterday I noticed a small red, slightly tender patch on and barely into my butt crack. Today several small water blisters developed over the same area. I am 72 years of age. any thoughts?

You should be careful to see their progress these days, if those small blisters rise in number it can be herpes zoster and acyclovir need to be started.
