1 Yr Old Has Cold Palms, Sweating All Over Body After Treatment For Cold, Fever. What To Do ?
Hi! I am AAA, got a son of one year old, few days back he has cold and fever however after some medication given by our local doctor he was well for few days and developed a new symptoms of cold palms and sweating all over the body frequently, he plays and is quite active but i feel this is not normal and went to our doctor and has prescribe an anti biotic, what shall i do, need an expert advice pls help me to help my son

If there is no fever, then antibiotic is of no use in sweating. This excessive sweating may be temporary. In cases of hyperhydrosis this excessive sweating may persist. But it will be too early to label him as a case of hyperhydrosis. So I would suggest you to consult your doc to know the reason of prescribing antibiotic and to rule out any cardiac or thyroid abnormality(as some of these cases may have this presentation although it seems unlikely)

good morning, if the child is active and playing well with a good appetite and a peaceful sleep , do not worry. keep a temperature check on him every 5 to 6 hrs once. if at u find he has fever , u ll have to review with ur doctor. go ahead with the antibiotics prescribed by ur doctor. if the sweating continues along with fever , get him tested for malaria and typhoid. if the symptoms stops with the ongoing treatment , do not worry.
